  • The goal is to increase the expression of the LacY gene and raise the overall production of lactose permease to enhance the uptake of lactose.
  • We used techniques such as gram-staining, autoclaving, bacterial culturing, micropipetting, microscope imaging, and incubation. 
  • We predict that higher concentrations of beta glucan would stimulate Lactobacillus growth as seen with Dai et al (2022).
